Snoop Dogg is one of the most iconic musicians of all time. The renowned rapper has earned a lot of fame and money over the years. While his love for music is never-ending, he also seems to share the same level of love for basketball as well.

It’s a well-known fact that the 50-year-old rapper is a die-hard Lakers fan. He can be seen on the sidelines during the Lakers’ home games from time to time. But who, in Snoop’s opinion, is the best basketball player ever? Or where does he rank LeBron James on the all time list?

Well, Snoop was asked such questions in a recent episode of “Impaulsive” podcast. But first, he thanked LeBron James for putting Snoop’s album “Doggystyle” in his top-5 albums of all time.

(Starts at 22:50)

“I mean, that’s a beautiful feeling man to get that respect from people who you respect. You know, knowing that all the people that put in that hard work on working on those projects. All of the writers, all of the producers, and the people that was just there giving us that energy. You know, I know that feels good for all of us, not just me. But all of us to know that somebody as great as LeBron James looks at our work as something that he can say is his top five. Because I look at him as top five basketball.”

Snoop further talked about who is the GOAT of basketball for him, “Magic is one, Jordan is two and (Bird) in the top 10.”

Watching Snoop’s interviews is always fun. Although he is one of the biggest rappers out there, he is still a humble person and gives honest answers to whatever question he is asked.

To conclude, as per Snoop, Magic Johnson is the greatest basketball player, for him. Since he is a life-long L.A. Lakers fan, it isn’t a surprise, to be honest. After Magic, he named none other than Michael Jordan in second place.

Lastly, he didn’t give a specific rank to LeBron James or Larry Bird but believes they are top-5 and top-10 players of all time, respectively.
