The Western Conference Semifinals have concluded with the Dallas Mavericks defeating the Phoenix Suns in seven games. It was a terrific series, with the Luka Doncic-led Mavs coming out as the better team between the two.
Considering the Suns finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA, they expected to at least make it to the Western Conference Finals. Additionally, they were picked as the heavy favorites to defeat the Mavs.
In reality, they were outplayed for most of the series, particularly in Game 7 of the series. The fixtures finished with a scoreline of 123-90 in favor of the Mavericks. Doncic was the star of the show with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists to his name.

When two teams play in a Game 7, most fans expect a close fixture and a game that can go to either side. Unfortunately, the Suns were truly outplayed by the Mavs since the first buzzer.
As a result, they were absolutely roasted by NBA fans after blowing a 3-2 lead in the series. Last season, the Suns went all the way to the NBA Finals, which made fans sure that they will do that once again.
But they failed to stay humble and took the foot off the gas. Despite this terrible loss, a few NBA analysts seem to be on their side. NBA legend and Inside The NBA show analyst Shaquille O’Neal was one of them. Shaq said he will not bash the Suns as they just had one of those days.
Anyway, let’s hope the Suns can learn from this mistake and make a stunning comeback next season. At the end of the day, they still have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA.
