The Philadelphia 76ers were sent packing last night by the Miami Heat. The 76ers were eliminated by the Heat in Game 6 of their playoff series, and what makes it worse is that they were eliminated at home. 76ers fans were furious as they lambasted their team on social media.

The 76ers were very poor and seemed to have no cohesion amongst themselves. And two players on the team even started arguing with each other during a time-out, leading to a moment of frustration.

During a timeout, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey were seen sitting next to each other and having a conversation. Both players appeared to be quite animated, especially James Harden.

There is no information about what words were exchanged. But one can imagine that the exchange wasn’t positive, as Tyrese Maxey got up right after the conversation and aggressively threw a seat cushion on the floor out of anger.

Tensions were clearly running high among the 76ers players, so an argument taking place between two of them is not at all surprising. But one can’t help but imagine what exactly was said between the two that led to Maxey having such an aggressive reaction to it. Fans may never find out what exactly was said, but it was clear from watching that things are not good right now in Philadelphia.

James Harden spoke after the game and seemed to commit himself to staying with the 76ers. Harden even said that he would be willing to take a smaller contract rather than the max contract he can avail in order to help the team sign better players.

The 76ers will have to do a lot of work during the offseason to try and get this team ready to win an NBA championship. The 76ers will presumably be building around the core of Harden, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, who figures heavily into their future plans.
