Anthony Davis still boasts huge confidence in his Los Angeles Lakers, as they enter the final five games of the 2021/22 regular season trying to recover the last play-in tournament spot, which now belongs to the San Antonio Spurs.

Following a painful 114-111 loss against the New Orleans Pelicans, everybody had something to say about the Lakers, and fans didn’t hold back against the team. LeBron James was flamed, and the rest of the squad blasted for their performances.

Many people believe this meant the end of the season for the Purple and Gold, but not everybody hasn’t given up on them. LeBron James remains confident in his team, saying they aren’t eliminated until it’s 100% official, while Anthony Davis went further and claimed that they can finish the season with an unbeaten run.

Following Friday night’s match, the Brow stated that he thinks the Lakers can win the rest of their games and wait for the better, as they try to control as much of their destiny as they can (4:12).

“We know the situation that we are in, and even though I’ve got soreness in my foot, he’s got soreness in his ankle, we felt like this was the game we had to play and obviously the next five games as well just try to control what we can control. Our mindset is to go 5-0 in these games and let the chips fall where it may. We dropped this one, but have five left to try to, you know, control what we can control and hopefully things will fall in our favor.”

Things look really complex for the Lakers right now, yet they are hopeful that they can turn it around and bounce back. They will be a dangerous rival in the play-in tournament, so the rest of the conference will try to end their hopes to make the 2022 NBA playoff. AD believes they are good enough to beat the likes of the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets, but not many people agree with the big man.
