PJ Tucker has been known for being a sneakerhead like not many others in the world. He has a big plug to get whatever shoe he wants, shocking the world every time he does it. Once, he surprised Carmelo Anthony by wearing some shoes that were only made for Melo’s soccer team in Puerto Rico.

Moreover, he once rocked Giannis Antetokounmpo’s shoes even before the Greek Freak had seen them, demonstrating that he has the right plug to get those shoes whenever he wants.

He’s an avid sneaker fan and it was only a matter of time before he released his own shoes. Last year, he dropped his exclusive sneakers with Dolce & Gabbana, calling it ‘Miami,’ due to his location at the time he created the shoe.

The sneakers look really good in both orange and beige, and even though they came with a big tag price ($795), it’s hard to find them right now at that charge.

Some lucky people can do it, though, and one of them was the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who was gifted one of these shoes recently. The King took to Instagram to share what Tucker had sent him.

“[PJ Tucker], appreciate it and congrats my guy!!!! ,” LeBron captioned one of his Instagram stories.

Last year, PJ explained why he decided to call the shoes ‘Miami.’ He was playing the Heat in the 2021 NBA postseason and asked the brand to get the shoes for that series. That was it for the big man and now the name fits perfectly, as he’s been a Miami Heat player since the last offseason.

“For me, it’s like my vibe of a shoe. The ‘Miami’ shoe. It’s in the name,” Tucker told GQ. “I literally wore them in Miami. I told [Dolce], ‘I need them right now for this series,’ because we were playing Miami in the first round. That was the vibe I had when creating them. Thinking about summertime, how I dress, where I am right now, the shoe embodies all of that. All in one. I think people will get that same vibe when they see them.”

Seeing how big Tucker is in the scene, it felt odd that he didn’t have a signature sneaker. Well, now he has one that’s making some noise around the NBA and the sneaker community. LeBron is very lucky to have those shoes and he really enjoyed that gift. In the past, they had some back and forth on the court, but that was only part of the competition. They are on very good terms now and nothing points out that will change soon.
