The Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was one of the best players to ever grace the hardwood. The Mamba had an amazing 20-year-old career in the NBA, where he mesmerized the fans with his skills.

Bryant might have honed his skills with a lot of hardwood, but he was definitely a blessed athlete too. It takes a lot of skill to get the NBA scouts’ attention at a young age. But Kobe did that and he entered the league at just 17 years of age.

While he wasn’t the superstar that he later became, he was still a decent player at the time. Looking at his game, most people recognized the similarities between his and Michael Jordan’s skillset.

In fact, many even say that the Mamba was the closest player to MJ that we will ever see. Anyway, a young Kobe might not be the biggest threat on the court, but he was more than enough to grab the attention of the likes of Jordan and Dennis Rodman when he was on the floor.

Recently, Instagram page “mambasdaily24” posted an image of a young Bryant being closely guarded by Jordan and Rodman.

Looking at the image, it is quite obvious that the Bulls duo was giving their all while defending Kobe. Moreover, Bryant seems to be embracing the challenge as he is giving his all as well.

It is a well-known fact that Jordan and Kobe were very close. They seemed to share an amazing bond, which surpassed that of just two rivals. It became even more evident when the two players used to share stories about one another.

One such story is when Bryant revealed an off-the-camera conversation with Mike. There are many stories about the two players but the matter of the fact is fans never got witness a true matchup of MJ and Kobe in their prime. If that had happened, it would have been a pretty close matchup without a doubt.
