LeBron James has been terrific form throughout the 2021-22 NBA season. Despite turning 37-years-old the King is yet to show any major signs of slowing down. But even after his amazing performance after performance, the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled this season.

The Lakers were expected to be one of the best, if not the best team in the Western Conference before the season even began. Along with the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the team also added Russell Westbrook to the roster.

On paper, it felt like the Purple & Gold have created an amazing superteam. In reality? They are currently the 9th seed in the conference with an underwhelming record of 29-37.

There have been flashes of good performances here and there by the Lakers. For example, their most recent win against the Washington Wizards was an impressive game. Like most of the wins for the team, it was LeBron who stole the show.

LBJ finished the game with 50 points to his name and completely outplayed the Wizards. Apart from James, Westbrook continued his poor run of form as he managed to put up just 5 points on the board.

Well, one can ignore that as long as the team is winning, but what cannot be ignored are some pretty easy buckets that Russ has missed several times this season. He did it once again, and his teammate LeBron’s reaction to it pretty much explained what most Lakers fans thought Westbrook missed an open layup.

Looking at James’ body language and the short glimpse that the camera caught of his face made it clear that the King was fed up.

There have been many reports suggesting that if LeBron James completely gives up on Russell Westbrook, the Lakers can potentially trade for John Wall. Could this reaction from James be another indication that he is done teaming up with Brodie?
