Jake Fischer Reveals That LeBron James Is As “Good As Gone” If He Doesn’t Sign Extension With Lakers This Summer

The Los Angeles Lakers have not been a team that hasn’t been a contender this season, and they have not fulfilled the expectations that many people had for them this season. Many believed that a big three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook would be a top-tier team in the Western Conference, rather than the play-in tier team that they are currently.

There has been a lot of speculation about LeBron James’ future recently. Notably, LeBron James has stated that he would play his last year in the NBA with his son, Bronny James. That would mean that he could potentially leave the Los Angeles Lakers.

James said Saturday he’ll go anywhere to play with his son, Bronny James.

“My last year will be played with my son,” James said. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

Jake Fischer has recently revealed that LeBron James will be “as good as gone” from the Los Angeles Lakers if he doesn’t end up signing an extension this summer. It remains to be seen if an extension will be offered or whether LeBron James will end up signing one if it was offered.

For the Los Angeles Lakers, it would be prudent to try and re-sign LeBron James, as he is still one of the best players in the world. Even if it’s a short-term extension, LeBron James is worth it, as he is still a superstar at the age of 37. His longevity is unmatched, and his production is still stellar.

We shouldn’t necessarily fault LeBron James for leaving a non-competitive team when he’s able to, especially if he ends up playing with his son on a different franchise. Hopefully, we see some clarity on this situation sooner rather than later.
