Kyrie Irving is one of the best players in the league when he is on the court. He is an extremely talented point with the best handle in the league and his scoring prowess is well respected by players and fans alike.

While obviously, he is an elite player when he is available, Kyrie Irving has been a part-time player all season. There’s no doubt that his absence has affected the Brooklyn Nets this year.

Recently, Kyrie Irving was streaming NBA 2K with Kevin Durant and Cam Thomas, and many fans joked about how that is the only way he can play with his teammates at home. Some also wondered if playing NBA 2K is the activity Kyrie Irving engages in during home games.

NBA 2K is a game that many current players partake in, and there’s nothing wrong with Kyrie Irving enjoying some video games with his teammates during his downtime. NBA 2K is the best basketball game on the market currently. With that being said, it seems as though fans wanted to take an opportunity to poke some fun at Kyrie Irving about his part-time status and roast him about the situation.

It remains to be seen if Kyrie Irving changes his mind on his part-time status in the future, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be happening any time soon. The Nets traded James Harden earlier this year which made them take a hit to their star power, but they added an All-Star in Ben Simmons and improved their depth by adding Seth Curry and Andre Drummond. Hopefully, that allows them to be able to withstand Kyrie Irving’s absences during the regular season.

There is no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets are a contender when fully healthy. We’ll see if they are able to develop enough chemistry, but if they manage to figure things out as a squad, they could be scary to face in the playoffs.
