Goran Dragic is a solid guard who was recently traded to the San Antonio Spurs. He is a wily veteran that can handle the ball and shoot from the perimeter, and there’s no doubt that he could contribute to a contending team.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has recently revealed that Goran Dragic and the San Antonio Spurs will be negotiating a buyout of his contract. Wojnarowski claimed that multiple contenders will be vying for Goran Dragic’s services, including the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.

The San Antonio Spurs and Goran Dragic are expected to negotiate a contract buyout in the coming week, clearing the way for a formidable list of free agent suitors for Dragic that now include the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, sources told ESPN.

The Lakers and Warriors are planning to join several rivals, including the LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, in aggressive pursuit of Dragic, sources said.

Dragic is emerging as the top player on the buyout market with contending teams confident that he has stayed in excellent condition working out in South Florida and can contribute in short order on a new team.

The Spurs traded for Dragic on Thursday, acquiring a protected 2022 first-round pick in the deal.

It seems as though Goran Dragic will have his choice of contender to go to. There’s no question that all of the teams that are mentioned will give him a fair shot of winning the championship, barring perhaps the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Hopefully, we see Goran Dragic join a contender and have a solid role. He’s clearly still a good player that can help many teams with his versatile offensive game. He is one of the best buyout candidates right now, and we’ll see what decision he makes once he gets bought out.
