Bradley Beal has been the Washington Wizards’ franchise centerpiece for quite some time now. He was having a productive season under new coach Wes Unseld Jr., putting up 23.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 6.6 APG.

However, it seems as though Bradley Beal will be out for the rest of the season. Adrian Wojnarowski has recently reported that Bradley Beal will be undergoing season-ending surgery on his left wrist.

Washington Wizards All-Star guard Bradley Beal plans to undergo season-ending surgery on his left wrist, sources tell ESPN.

Hopefully, Bradley Beal comes back strong from this injury. His health is obviously the biggest priority, especially since he will be a free agent in the offseason. The Washington Wizards had a really strong start to the season this year, but now, it is likely that their focus will be on trying to get a top-tier pick this season.

The Washington Wizards have some players that will have to step up and carry the offensive load during the time Bradley Beal is out. Kyle Kuzma has been having a career season, averaging 16.1 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 2.8 APG this season while playing some phenomenal defense. Other players such as Montrezl Harrell and Rui Hachimura could get increased usage rates as well.

There is no question that this is unfortunate for both Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards. Hopefully, we see some growth from all the remaining players on the roster, and we’ll see how they do when they’re at full strength next season.
