James Harden Is Reportedly Frustrated With The Brooklyn Nets: “He Came To Brooklyn Expecting To Be Part Of A Three-Headed Monster, Yet Has Played A Similar Role To What Was Required Of Him In Houston.”

The career of James Harden has been full of ups and downs. He started his journey in the NBA as a third star behind the incredible duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook with the Oklahoma City Thunder. But he soon joined the Houston Rockets to get more playing time and, of course, better pay.

Joining the Rockets was unarguably the best decision of his NBA career as he blossomed into an NBA superstar. He got his own team and managed to lead them to some pretty amazing seasons too.

The only thing that Harden failed to do with the Rockets is to help the team win an NBA Championship. While some might believe that the Beard didn’t have enough help in some seasons, he still played with the likes of Dwight Howard and Chris Paul during his stint with the Rockets.

In hopes of winning an NBA title, he joined the Brooklyn Nets and formed a superteam with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, it seems like the former MVP’s days are numbered as a Nets player.

The team is struggling to win in the absence of KD. And with Irving playing as a part-time player, Harden has once again been burdened to carry a team. This time around he is failing to do so and is reportedly frustrated with the situation.

Via The Athletic:

“Harden isn’t expansive with the media when it comes to conflict and was short in his postgame press conference in Sacramento. While Harden has thrown hints that he’s not crazy about Irving’s part-time status, a source with knowledge of Harden’s thinking said he’s frustrated in general with his Nets tenure. He came to Brooklyn expecting to be part of a three-headed monster, yet has played a similar role to what was required of him in Houston; having to be the guy. While Irving’s part-time status is unprecedented, a source aware of the team’s thinking said the 6-foot-2 point guard’s situation hasn’t been as much of a problem as one would expect because he’s played hard when available, albeit in a limited capacity.”

With rumors about James Harden’s future nurturing slowly, the Nets are in a tough spot. As of now, the best bet for them is to trade Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons as reported by Shams Charania.

Otherwise, with Harden’s contract expiring the next season, they might lose him for much less than for what they can get for him right now.
