NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Have Been Offering Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, And A First-Round Pick In A Trade Package But No Teams Are Interested Yet

The Los Angeles Lakers have been reportedly trying to think of ways to upgrade their roster with a trade after a very underwhelming regular season so far. The Lakers have been inconsistent and that has led to questions about the players they currently have on the team, with many of those players being discussed as potential pieces in a trade.

The latest report comes from Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, who has explained that the Lakers have been trying to offer Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and a future first-round pick to try and get a player that can make a difference to their roster. One of the players mentioned in the report is Jerami Grant but they are yet to receive any positive responses from any of the teams they have floated the offer to.

“Having said that, the Lakers, who are sitting at 23-24 and in eighth place in the West, need to shake up this roster. They’re calling teams offering a future first, Kendrick Nunn, and Talen Horton-Tucker, who has underwhelmed this season, and no one is biting yet. Stein says they offered that package to Detroit for Jerami Grant. The Lakers’ problem is THT just isn’t valued highly enough by teams and that 2027 pick is a long time from conveying.”

The Lakers were high on Horton-Tucker before the start of the season but he has failed to make the leap expected of him this season. THT is averaging just 10 points a game to go along with 3.5 rebounds, and those numbers are unlikely to be attractive to any team. Kendrick Nunn has failed to appear in any games for the Lakers at all, being sidelined with injury since playing in a few preseason games.

Russell Westbrook is another LA star that has been linked with potential trades but considering his massive contract, there doesn’t seem to be much traction for the Lakers on that front either. Coach Frank Vogel is in the hot seat and if the roster cannot be improved soon, this season might just end up being a wash for the Lakers.
