Isiah Thomas Agrees With Tweet Saying That Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Is Better Than Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is widely considered the undisputed NBA goat for many fans around the world. His Airness made history during the 80s and 90s, taking the Chicago Bulls from the bottom to the top of the league, winning six championships from 1991 through 1998.

During those years, he created a big legacy, becoming one of the most influential players of all time, taking the NBA to new heights. Before MJ took over, there were other legends like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and one player who was considered the GOAT before him.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won championships at every level, becoming one of the most successful players of all time. His honored career and dominance led fans and fellow players to call him the GOAT. That status belonged to MJ once he started winning championships and individual awards.

Still, some legends don’t think Jordan is the greatest player of all time, and Isiah Thomas has made sure to let people know Kareem owns that title. Even though fans have called him out for shading MJ, Zeke keeps pushing that narrative and recently retweeted a tweet from Houston Rockets legend Eddie Johnson.

Johnson shared a pic comparing Jordan and Abdul-Jabbar’s accolades, with MJ only surpassing KAJ in steals, while both players won six championships. Other than that, the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers legend has better numbers than His Airness.

“Me impersonating a MJ policeman after reading this stat line, ‘but MJ was 6-0,’” Johnson tweeted.

Comparing players from different eras is always a bad idea, especially two that played different positions like Kareem and Mike. They were dominant with their tools, won plenty of silverware, and collected many honors during their careers. What Johnson posted could explain what Dwyane Wade recently said, claiming that Jordan would stop being called the GOAT with the years, just like it happened with Kareem.

Well, there’s no doubt both these legends left a big mark on the game and nobody can change that. Who was better? That’s a subjective answer. Still, just like many urge fans now, we need to start appreciating greatness and stop entertaining pointless debates that will never be settled.
