Kevin Durant is unarguably one of the greatest players of this generation. Ever since making his debut in the league, KD has always been a sensational scorer. But despite all his achievements throughout his career, Durant has always been considered the second-best player of this generation.
The first spot has belonged to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. After all, the King is in the debate of being the Greatest Player Of All Time (GOAT). There was a time when KD could have overtaken James, but he decided to join the Golden State Warriors.
Unfortunately, that meant Durant went from one of the most beloved players in the league to one of the most despised. Regardless of the hate, KD won two NBA Championships during his stint with the Dubs.

Moreover, Durant wants to be regarded as the best ever player to play the game. His teammate James Harden revealed that in a recent interview. Harden said:
“I mean, obviously we all know how special Kevin is. It’s so easy for him. He’s put in the work. Like it looks easy for him. I’m sure he feels that way as well. He wants to be the best to ever play the game. And so he puts the work in and time and effort into it, and the results show on the court.”

To be regarded as one of the best players in the world, one needs to put in a lot of hard work. And Kevin Durant has been doing that for countless years. He has a sensational work ethic and it is evident with his contribution to the Nets this season.
As of now, KD is averaging a solid 29.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game all while shooting 52.0% from the field. Before getting injured, Durant was one of the frontrunners to win the regular-season MVP. Will he be able to get back to the top in the MVP Power Rankings? Only time will tell.
