This season has definitely not gone as expected for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. They were 21-22 prior to their matchup against the Utah Jazz, and there’s no question that they weren’t expecting to be a middle-of-the-pack team.

Lakers fans have been disappointed with the team’s performance as well. The 2021-22 Lakers have even gotten critiques from former Lakers legends such as Magic Johnson.

There is no doubt though that the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James want to get better though. Recently, LeBron James has apologized to Lakers fans amidst a 3-game losing streak, claiming that the team will do better in the future.

Frank Vogel has recently claimed that LeBron James’ apology to fans is a “sign of great leadership”, but also added that some of it is “unhappiness on how the team has played”.

LeBron James is currently putting up 28.9 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 6.5 APG, and it’s clear that he’s doing everything he can to keep the offense going and trying to will his team to win. While it is clear that he isn’t the LeBron James of old on the defensive end, he is still giving the team superstar production on the offensive side of the ball.

There have been many people that have suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers need to make a trade to improve. The team has been linked with players like Ben Simmons and Jerami Grant previously, but it is unclear whether they have the assets to get either of the two.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers turn it around and get back to winning ways. We know that Anthony Davis and LeBron James are a championship-caliber duo, and if they can build chemistry with the rest of the roster, the Lakers could still be a good team.
