Nikola Jokic is one of the elite players in the NBA today. The 2021 MVP is still playing at an extremely high level right now and has established himself as one of the best players in the league right now. Jokic is a superstar and an excellent player. But members of the Nuggets organization actually see the value he brings as a human being.

Interim Denver Nuggets head coach Popeye Jones spoke during the post-game press conference about Nikola Jokic. In an effort to praise his character, Jones bizarrely said that Jokic is the kind of person that he would be okay with his daughter wanting to marry and spend the rest of her life with because of how he cares and looks out for the people in his life.

Popeye Jones on Nikola Jokic: “He’s a special guy. He’s the type of guy that if I had a daughter, I’d want my daughter to bring Nikola Jokic home and say, ‘Hey Dad, this is who I’m going to marry.’ I know she would be in good hands.”

“He’s a special guy. He’s the type of guy that if I had a daughter, I’d want my daughter to bring Nikola Jokic home and say, ‘Hey Dad, this is who I’m going to marry.’ I know she would be in good hands.”

This is high praise for Jokic as a human being. While the way he complimented Jokic may be strange for fans, it is a testament to Jokic’s character. Jokic has been one of the more soft-spoken and understated players in the NBA and has shown that he is one of the nicest people in the league.

But on the court, Jokic’s play is to be feared. He is one of the most unique players in the NBA because he is a big man who has elite vision. He is one of the best passers in the league. Unlike most bigs in the NBA, who rely on their athleticism, Jokic relies on his skill.

Jokic himself mentioned Dirk Nowitzki as a big influence and even mentioned that Dirk paved the way for players like him who wanted to stay in one team. Jokic will continue to get better and lead the NBA into the future over the next few years.
