Anthony Edwards was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA draft, and thus far he has certainly lived up to expectations. He has been one of the best players on the Minnesota Timberwolves this year, and the electric shooting guard is currently averaging 22.8 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 3.6 APG.

Draymond Green has recently called Anthony Edwards the most exciting young player in the NBA, and claimed that he has “star potential”. There’s no doubt that the sky is the limit for Anthony Edwards, and he certainly looks like he could be a top-tier player in the future.

Anthony Edwards, that goes without question. Come on. The guy can get you 40 as we know, he’s done that multiple times. The guy can put anybody in the rim as we know. Part of the reason you don’t see Anthony Edwards dunk on more people is because people move when they see him bout to take off, at this point you don’t want to be on the wrong end of that… I think he has star potential.

Anthony Edwards has previously claimed that he is focused on winning an MVP award, but it’s unlikely that he’ll win that this year. His production while good isn’t at that level yet, and his team positioning isn’t the best. Anthony Edwards is playing well on an individual level, but his team is the 9th seed with a 16-19 record.

However, there is still some time left before the end of the season, and perhaps we see them go on a run and get out of a play-in spot. If not, then they will still have an opportunity to make the playoffs if they win the tournament. Hopefully, we see Anthony Edwards in the playoffs, and he’s bound to put on a show for the fans.
