Ja Morant went off on the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. The Memphis Grizzlies star keeps showing he’s meant to be great in the association, and everybody was in awe of his performances against LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and co.

The Grizzlies are surprising plenty of people this season, ranking 4th in the Western Conference standings with a 22-14 record, winning big games even when Ja was sidelined due to an injury and the league’s health and safety protocols.

He finished last night’s game with 41 points and 10 rebounds, leading his squad to a 104-99 victory over the Lakers. Ja was feeling himself last night, and that didn’t change after the game was over. He noticed that many Lakers fans attended the game and took a shot at them, sending them back home with a big L.

“It is even better to send all of those yellow, gold – whatever color you want to call their jerseys – home sad,” Morant said, via Yahoo Sports. “You can take that back to L.A.”

Morant is very proud of being a Grizzly and he doesn’t hesitate to let people know. He’s a very loyal player who wants to build something good at FedEx Forum and beat whoever tries to disrespect his house.

He sent a big message to the Lakers on Wednesday night, worsening their current situation. The future is bright for the Grizzlies and it’s fair to say they are shocking a lot of people this season. They weren’t expected to be this good, but the NBA is full of surprises.

In his third season in the league, the point guard is averaging 24.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, while shooting 47.8% from the field and 77.2% from the free-throw line. At the start of the season, Ja was getting MVP buzz. If the Grizzlies keep this pace, he could be a solid candidate to win the award next year.
