Alex English Supports Nikola Jokic’s MVP Case: “The Joker Is No Joke.”

Nikola Jokic is one of the primary MVP candidates this season. Jokic is currently averaging 26.2 PPG, 10.9 RPG, 8.6 APG. Those are amazing numbers, and he is clearly the best passing big man in the game. Nikola Jokic has been the offensive centerpiece for his team the entire season, and without him, they’d be nowhere close to the position they are in now.

Denver Nuggets legend Alex English thinks that Nikola Jokic is the MVP. Nikola Jokic has recently had a game with 32 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, as well as 3 blocks and 3 steals. StatMuse reported that he was the first Nuggets player since Alex English to finish a game with at least 30/5/5/3/3. Alex English retweeted StatMuse’s post and stated his support for Jokic being the MVP.

The Denver Nuggets were expected to fall off slightly after Jamal Murray’s unfortunate injury. However, Nikola Jokic has kept them in contention, and they are currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference. The Denver Nuggets are surging even without Murray, and it is Jokic’s brilliance that has allowed them to continue thriving. Nikola Jokic is already one of the best players that have ever played for the Nuggets, and it seems that at least one former Nuggets legend is ready to crown him as the MVP.

While there are other players in line for the award, Jokic’s case is one of the most compelling. Despite an injury to a key player on his team, Jokic has still been willing the Nuggets to wins. If Nikola Jokic continues to play at an extremely high level, then he may just become the first Denver Nuggets player to win the MVP award.
