All The Golden State Warriors Players Showed Up To The Game In Klay Thompson Jerseys Ahead Of His Return

The Golden State Warriors enjoyed one of the most historic nights in their recent history as Klay Thompson returned to play an NBA game for the first time in 941 days. His debut came at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a lot of fanfare surrounding his return and the Warriors repeatedly sharing their excitement over social media about what they called ‘Klay Day’.

His teammates were just as excited as any of the fans and Draymond Green even made an appearance on the court despite getting injured, with everyone in the Chase Center fully committing to the festivities. Another special gesture that the Warriors players made before the game was that all of them turned up to the arena wearing different Klay jerseys in his honor.

Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins and Juan Toscano-Anderson were all spotted in different Warriors jerseys with Klay’s name and number on them, presumably their own favorites from the collection. The Warriors players also went on to create looks for Thompson whenever they could during the game, leading to him scoring the first 2 points for his team on his return.

Despite facing a number of injuries and COVID-19 related issues this season, the Warriors are tied for the best record in the entire NBA, and that is thanks to the camaraderie that the roster shares with one another. Curry and Green have both led by example on this front, and their support for Klay on an immense night in his career will only serve to give him even more confidence.

The Warriors beat the Cavaliers to go to a 30-9 record as they aim to get back into the NBA finals following a 2-year absence. Adding Thompson back to a roster that boasts a superstar like Steph Curry and quality role players that continue to contribute will only make them harder to beat for the other Western Conference teams.
