He picked LBJ over KD thanks to the former’s versatility, and his ability to do things in a way no one else has. Durant is an unstoppable scorer, but there have been players like that in the past. Kevin Durant has won two championships and two Finals MVPs, which makes him a legendary star in NBA history. But LeBron James won twice as many, and Michael Jordan won thrice as many. So there isn’t much of a conversation to be had in terms of legacy points. And the man himself once said that he doesn’t care to be better than the two players in the GOAT debate.
