Anthony Davis Says LeBron James Should Win The MVP Award: “You Never Know All The Politics, But He Should.”

2 Min Read

After having a magical 2020/21 NBA season, LeBron James has picked things right where he left them, having an outstanding campaign, becoming one of the favorite players to win the MVP award right now. A lot of people believe he was snubbed last year and even James felt he should have won the award or at least get more votes than he had.

This season, he’s looking for revenge and almost everybody is making the case for LeBron to win the coveted award for the fifth time in his career. His head coach already tipped him to win the award and now his best partner, Anthony Davis, has backed the King to win the prize at the end of the season.

“I think coach definitely hit it on the head when he said (LeBron) should win,” Davis said, via Silver Screen and Roll. “You never know all the politics and stuff, but he should.”

AD went on to explain how different things are for Bron now, crediting his shooting for the big season his teammate is having now.

“I think the biggest difference is his ability to shoot. I mean, how do you guard him? He’s knocking down the three-ball consistently, he’s getting into the paint,” Davis said. “You can’t go under, you can’t chase him over because he’ll get downhill and make a really good pass or make plays. He’s definitely tough to guard, which makes it easier for everyone else to be able to relax and make shots.”

James is ready to take the Los Angeles Lakers to the promised land again and he’s doing everything he can to meet his goal. After losing to Giannis Antetokounmpo last year, the King is looking for revenge and the rest of the league is on notice about this guy and his impressive season.
