Anthony Edwards Makes Baffling Comments On Coronavirus Pandemic

Anthony Edwards did some interesting things on Thursday night, during his pro day, working out, taking some shots and dunking the ball in front of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The young player, who is expected to go as a high pick in the upcoming NBA draft, made some wild takes after he finished showing his talents to the star-studded public he had.

Even though he was considered the No. 1 pick of the draft for a big part of the year, Edwards, just like the rest of his class, needs to work to convince their potential teams that they are valuable assets and can bring a lot to the franchises. Well, the Georgia player didn’t impress anybody when he talked about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, making a confusion take on the matter, comparing two teams that have zero correlation.

After he announced he was signing with Klutch Sports (LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ agency), the young player addressed the situation with the pandemic and explained how he coped with the whole thing during these months.

β€œI feel like the pandemic is nothing to me. I was already living in the pandemic because all I wanted to do is to get better,” Edwards said, confusing everybody that listened to him.

Of course, NBA fans took notice of this and they were quick to mock Edwards for his remarks.

If you think about it, it was a good line. He actually tried to say that being isolated, locked down, allowed him to work more on his game. He probably omitted one of these words and went with ‘pandemic,’ but that’s what one imagines he meant to say. This guy is seen as one of the future stars of the league and although his words were misunderstood, he used a good analogy, just not as understandable as desired.
