Trust Austin Reaves to have quite the comical reaction when asked about what he would do the first thing in the morning upon waking up and the last thing he would do before bed.

Well, the answer isn’t definitely to practice, but it is a lot more logical, and one could imagine Reaves saying that with a straight face. Speaking to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on ‘All the Smoke’, he said:

“Obviously. Brush my teeth, and yeah… brush my teeth again.”

Reaves has been a straight shooter, but this is one such answer that has nothing much to it but still manages to have fans laughing. Hillbilly Kobe is surely one of the funniest Lakers out there.

Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham Believes Austin Reaves Will Be An All-Star

The Lakers made the right call in building a young and potential-filled roster around their core duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves will be one of the players set to play a key role in the 2023-24 season.

In a recent appearance on #thisleague UNCUT with Chris Haynes and Marc Stein, LA head coach Darvin Ham had high praise for Reaves and even went on to call him a future All-Star.

“I’m putting it on record right now: Austin Reaves will be an All-Star at some point soon,” said Ham.

“Reaves has been one of the breakout performers for the Lakers over the last two seasons, and now he has been one of the players billed to play an important role for LA. “

“The Lakers plan on running more of their offense through Reaves next season,” The Athletic’s Jovan Buha wrote.

“Unlocking the point guard skills he’s flashed through his first two years in the league, according to team sources not authorized to speak publicly.”

The question is whether Reaves can keep up his consistency and handle the immense pressure that will be on him in the upcoming season.
