Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers had as bitter an end to their working tenure as possible. Simmons demanded a trade at the start of last season and refused to play for them until a trade came through.

Eventually, Simmons was traded along with a few other pieces so the 76ers could land James Harden. Many fans believed Harden could lead them to an NBA championship, unlike Simmons. But they were proven wrong last night.

The Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the playoffs last night by the Miami Heat. James Harden had yet another poor performance for the 76ers. One person who seemed to be enjoying the 76ers getting knocked out was their former player, Ben Simmons.

Simmons liked two Tweets in the aftermath of the elimination, one that was saying that the 76ers won the trade after Harden’s heroics in Game 4, which Simmons presumably liked sarcastically, and another Tweet from Skip Bayless that said that Simmons would make the 76ers regret trading him.

Tweet 1: If washed and out of shape James harden is giving the 76ers 30 pt playoff games they won the ben Simmons trade lmao

Skip Bayless: James Harden typically no-showed in the second half of this closeout game. Now he’s mostly just another Jim Harden. Ben Simmons eventually will make this trade look so phoolish for Philly.

Simmons was clearly enjoying all the chaos that came with the 76ers getting eliminated. While he got his wish and was traded to a different team, Simmons still feels some type of way about the 76ers and how the team and the fanbase treated him.

Simmons will now turn his attention to next season. Simmons had a significant back injury, something Nets GM Sean Marks said is the reason why he didn’t play in the playoffs.

After sitting out the entire year, Ben Simmons will dedicate himself to his recovery, and make sure that he is the best version of himself next season when he dons the Brooklyn Nets jersey for the first time. Ben Simmons has a lot to prove to fans who think that he isn’t worth the trouble he has caused.
