The hard-fought Western Conference Semifinals between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks are finally over. The series went to seven games and gave fans many memorable moments that they will cherish for years to come.

Although most expected the Suns to win the series, Luka Doncic and the Mavericks proved their doubters wrong, especially in Game 7. In the final game of the series, the Mavs dominated the Suns throughout the game and completed a blowout win.

After the final buzzer, the scoreline was 123-90, of course, in favor of the Mavs. However, if it weren’t for a cheap move from Aaron Holiday, the game would have finished at 123-87.

Usually, when the game is all but decided, most players will let the team with the ball in possession dribble it out. Mavericks’ big man, Boban Marjanovic did just that but Holiday stole the ball from him and drained a 3-point shot.

This obviously frustrated Marjanovic, who was fuming and wanted to throw hands with Holiday. Fortunately, before things could get out of hand, many players intervened and tried to calm Boban down.

Usually, Boban is someone who is very calm and collected despite his size. But this was a truly disrespectful move from Holiday, which understandably frustrated the Mavericks’ center.

The Suns aren’t having a good time after losing the series 4-3. Apart from this heated incident, off the court, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd trolled Chris Paul and the Suns for having a 10 o’clock curfew.

Anyway, let’s hope that the Mavs do not get ahead of themselves. They are all set to face the formidable Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. If they take their foot off the accelerator right now, they could serve a similar fate as the Suns, and their hope to win the 2022 NBA Championship could be ruined.
