The Boston Celtics just finished their season in a terrible way, and the bad news keeps coming for them.

Almost a year after they suspended Ime Udoka, the head coach is set to start a new chapter in his career with a different team, and the Celtics are on the verge of taking some big hits due to this situation. The C’s are losing three assistant coaches that will join Udoka in Houston.

“According to an NBA source, assistants Ben Sullivan, Aaron Miles, and Mike Moser are expected to join Ime Udoka’s staff in Houston, leaving three or more openings on Mazzulla’s staff,” Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe writes.

After an underwhelming end to the 2022-23 NBA season, the Celtics have a lot of changes to make this offseason. The roster could see some changes, especially if they decide to cut ties with Jaylen Brown and ship him somewhere.

The talented swingman didn’t have the best series against the Miami Heat, especially in Game 7, sparking a lot of reactions around the league. Brown has been linked with a move away from TD Garden, and the Rockets have been named a potential landing spot for them.

Ime Udoka Is Starting An Exciting Project In Houston

A reunion with Ime Udoka appears to be on the cards for Brown, but nothing is certain right now. Brown always said good things about his former head coach, and it makes sense that wants to go back to the Rockets.

The Golden State Warriors have been mentioned as another potential new team for Brown in an exchange involving Jordan Poole. The Celtics have some serious questions to answer this offseason after failing to make it to the NBA Finals.

Udoka is having a new start in Houston as he tries to take them to the next level. Brown, as well as James Harden, could be the right leader for a young team that is hungry to win but lacks direction.
