Breaking: LaMelo Ball Voted 2021 NBA Rookie Of The Year

1 Min Read

LaMelo Ball has won the 2021 NBA Rookie of the Year award after a magical first season with the Charlotte Hornets. The youngest Ball brother entered the league amid doubts about his transition to the association.

That didn’t matter to him, who dominated the game from the get-go. Melo was a menace for rivals, making flashy passes, scoring with ease, always putting up a show with his team.

Although a wrist injury prevented him from playing every game on the calendar, the player significantly impacted his team and the rest of the league to secure the coveted award. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the player has been voted the 2021 NBA ROY.

He had some competition in Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Halliburton, but nobody actually came close to Melo. The Hornets made the play-in tournament, although they lost to the Indiana Pacers. Still, this player has shown he’s ready to be great in the league, and this prize is the confirmation that he was the best player in his class.

Melo averaged 15.7 PPG, 5.9 RPG and 6.1 APG this season.
