Given the rivalry between his father and Jordan, it’s unsurprising to see how Bronny selected between the three players. But why would he even pick against his father or Kobe in that situation? Bronny wouldn’t cut LeBron for obvious reasons and is part of a generation heavily influenced by Kobe, with Bronny sharing a personal relationship with the late Lakers great.

Bronny James Hoping To Get Drafted On Day 2
Bronny James didn’t hear his name be called during day one of the NBA draft where the 30 first-round selections were finalized. Bronny saw his USC teammate Isaiah Collier have his name called at No. 29, but Bronny will have to wait for Day 2 for his opportunity to be real.
From the cryptic information we have received about Bronny’s pre-draft process, we know he only worked out for the Lakers and Suns. The Suns committed to swingman Ryan Dunn coming out of the University of Virginia with their first-round pick, as the franchise has the 56th pick in the second round.
The Lakers will pick at No. 55, so their path toward acquiring Bronny should be clear if the Suns don’t move ahead of them. Rich Paul did imply other teams could be in the running, naming the Timberwolves, Raptors, and Mavericks as potential landing spots for Bronny.

If the Lakers don’t take him at 55, Dallas would take him at 58 and give him a guaranteed deal. Masai [Ujiri, Raptors President] loves him. They could take him without even seeing him at 31. Workouts aren’t everything for these teams.”
The Raptors have the No. 31 pick and have better prospects on the board than Bronny, already selecting a guard in the first round with Ja’Kobe Walter. The Timberwolves have also selected two guards already, acquiring the No. 8 pick Rob Dillingham before drafting Terrence Shannon Jr. at No. 27. The Mavericks have the last pick in the Draft, so both the Lakers and Suns will have the chance to snatch Bronny up before Dallas.
It seems the Lakers are still massive favorites to land Bronny and have him team up with his father.
