The Los Angeles Lakers returned to winning ways on Tuesday night after a win over the Houston Rockets as visitors. The Purple and Gold snapped a 5-game losing streak, getting the 17th victory of the season.

LeBron James and Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double in a game that saw Bron playing the center position for the first time in his career. The small lineup paid off for the Lakers and everybody was happy with the final result.

They had a lot of fun on the court, and LeBron even had time to create fantasy plays for the rest of the team. At some point, he attacked the rim against a Rockets defender. Instead of finishing the play by himself, LeBron threw the ball off the glass, presumably think Carmelo Anthony was running behind him.

Melo was waiting behind the 3-point line and was able to catch the pass, finishing with a mid-range shot. After the game was over, Anthony reacted to the play, wondering if LeBron hoped he would dunk the ball after that pass.

“You were throwing that off the glass for me [LeBron James]? I appreciate the confidence!” he tweeted.

Even though James and Anthony have managed to stay relevant in the league, showing their offensive talents, they’re not in their 20s anymore, and dunking that ball was nearly impossible for Carmelo.

Still, it’s good to see LeBron is confident that his team can make spectacular plays even after 35. Melo is a shooter right now, which is why he was waiting behind the arc. James had different plans, but things worked out for them in the end.

The Lakers bagged a 132-123 against the young Rockets team, showing they aren’t dead yet. After five terrible games, they are ready to bounce back and climb positions in the standings.
