The Los Angeles Lakers had a pretty solid showing against the Sacramento Kings. In a game that went down to the wire, the Lakers walked away as the winners, defeating the Kings to get their third straight win. Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk made some pretty big shots for the Lakers last night, but they also had a funny exchange in the game.

During the game, Carmelo Anthony was subbing in for Malik Monk. As Melo was coming into the game, he told Monk to move faster, and ‘get his a** out’ of the court so that play could resume. It was a hilarious moment from Melo, whose vocal instructions have gone viral many times in his career.

A few months ago, during a Lakers game, Melo screamed his signature phrase, ‘I got it, get the f*ck outta here’ after getting a rebound so loudly, that ESPN had to cut the feed in order to ensure that the profanity wasn’t audible to the audience at home. Clearly, Anthony’s actions should not be surprising.

Melo and Monk were great during the game against the Kings, making big-time, important shots to help the Lakers get the lead and win the game against a very game Sacramento Kings. But Melo and Monk weren’t the only players to have a funny moment take place during the game.

LeBron James had NBA Twitter in splits after he faked out from a jump ball situation during the game. Given that James also played really well, perhaps the humor was a driving force for certain Lakers stars to perform at a high level and help secure their third consecutive win.

Hilarity aside, the Lakers will be hoping to keep this run going, and finally, start to build some momentum as they approach the second half of the season. After a rough first few months, the Lakers need to start being more consistent if they want to win the NBA championship this year.
