Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Lamar Stevens recently showed off the most incredible message of support by any NBA player. His grandmother caught him guarding one of the best players in the NBA and she couldn’t hide his excitement for the young player, texting him a very cute message after the match was over.
Stevens took to Twitter to share the message his “Mom-Mom” sent him after going against Kawhi Leonard in the Cavaliers 121-99 blowout vs. Los Angeles Clippers. The Penn State product had the hard job to go against Leonard, one of the best players in the NBA and his grandma was as happy as he could.
“I can NOT believe you’re guarding Mr. Leonard,” she texted him on Wednesday night. “Go head Lamar you are doing IT “

The player ended up playing 21 minutes for the young Cavaliers team that has some big players like Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. Stevens managed to get seven points, five rebounds, a steal, and two blocks. His attempts to stop Kawhi were useless as the Klaw finished the game with 24 points, and more importantly, the win.
This was a great gesture by this lady and the NBA world really appreciated her comments and how supportive she is of his grandson.
