Led by young star Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks opened round 1 with 2 straight wins over the Los Angeles Clippers, leading many to believe that the series was over before it really got a chance to begin.

But following an embarrassing showing at home, the Clippers responded with some urgency in Games 3 and 4 to tie the series up at 2-2.

And now, on the eve of Game 5, TNT’s Charles Barkley guarantees that the Clippers will win the series.

“That series is over. It’s over.”

Naturally, people have their doubts. Besides the fact that the series is tied 2-2, the Clippers are a franchise that has chocked in big moments in the past, leading many to believe that they’ll do so again against this Clippers squad.

But Chuck ultimately believes in talent, and the Clippers certainly have enough of that to win the first-round series against an inferior Mavericks team.

And after last season’s failures, they still have a whole lot to prove.

But with the series still tied up at 2 games apiece, it’s still anyone’s to win, and it will be very interesting to see who makes it out in the end, and whether or not Barkley will be proven right.
