Chris Paul On Devin Booker: “I Came To Phoenix Because Of Him.”

2 Min Read

Devin Booker’s All-Star snub was one of the biggest travesties of the season. Considering all he has been doing with the Suns, and the way he’s torched the league, there really is no doubt that he belongs on an All-Star roster.

Of course, he didn’t make it at first and was only selected as a replacement for Anthony Davis.

It was a sign of major disrespect, and couldn’t have felt good, but CP3 made sure to remind his young teammate just how special he was, reminding Booker that he was the reason he even came to Phoenix in the first place.

“Book is gonna be fine. Mont said it this morning, and it’s true for me too, I came here because of Book. You know what I mean? Don’t make any mistake about that. I came to Phoenix because of Book.”

Booker is the biggest reason why the Suns have become relevant in the West. The young star has emerged as a superstar in this league, and his talent has players, fans, and the media paying attention.

This season, Booker is putting up 24.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game on 50.1% shooting. He and CP3 have led the Suns to a 20-10 record, tied for 3rd best in the West.

Needless to say, Booker is getting recognized, even if it’s not by the All-Star voters.
