Damian Lillard Looks Completely Dejected After Blazers’ Latest Loss

2 Min Read

Despite a masterful performance from Damian Lillard, the Portland Trail Blazers find themselves down 3-2 to a Denver team missing their second-best player.

55 points from Lillard, which carried them to a second-overtime, somehow wasn’t enough to give the Blazers the edge and, after the game, the superstar guard looked visibly dejected about the outcome of the game and the fact that none of his teammates really showed up down the stretch.

Obviously, anybody’s going to feel bad after losing such a close game like that. So, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Lillard is ready to move on from Portland.

But considering the circumstances of the game, and even the last few years, it’s definitely concerning. Lillard is one of the best players in the NBA, but the Blazers’ failure to attract another star to the team has left him with a very limited record of postseason success.

At 30-years-old, there is still time for him to capture a Championship, but he won’t be in his prime forever. The clock is ticking, and the Blazers are under more pressure now than ever before to surround Damian with sufficient talent.

If not, it could spell bad news for the franchise. You have to imagine that there’s only so much the guy is willing to take.
