Darvin Ham Takes A Subtle Shot At LeBron James And The Attention He Got Because Of The All-Time Scoring Record
The Los Angeles Lakers continued their woes for the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Following a poor defensive performance in the second half of the game, the Lakers ended up losing the game 130-133. But it was the least of the worries for most people around the globe.
The reason behind it was the fact that LeBron James finally broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record. Keeping that in mind, the entire media has been talking about James and his greatness.
While there is nothing wrong with that, it may have taken away the attention from the Purple and Gold's 30th loss of the season.
Darvin Ham On LeBron James And The Lakers Against The Thunder
If the Lakers had managed to win the game against the Thunder, the night would have become even more memorable for LeBron James and the Lakers. However, that's not what happened, and it seems the head coach of the team, Darvin Ham, is not happy with the result.
But there's always a way to express disappointment over a loss. Instead, Ham ended up taking a subtle shot at James and all the attention he got during the game.
(Starts at 3:23)
"The guys, they wanted to see Bron do what he did tonight. A lot of the times, the attention was all about trying to get Bron the record as opposed to just playing natural basketball. We were able to make some good plays, and he did what he did, he eclipsed the record but we just had too many mistakes. Our turnovers really really hurt us tonight."
The relationship between LeBron and the rest of the team seems to be getting worse. While Ham unnecessarily took a shot at him, Anthony Davis didn't even bother to celebrate the record.
Some trouble may be brewing inside the Lakers locker room. There are simply too many things going on around the Lakers that could lead to the current experiment of the team blowing up.
