Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan shared their two cents on what veteran Patrick Beverley bought to the table after he signed with the Chicago Bulls earlier this season.

Speaking to ESPN’s Richard Jefferson, who asked about Beverly’s “energy injection” after his arrival, “Everything you see about Pat, that’s Pat 24/7. He sleeps aggressively,” DeRozan said. This was seconded by LaVine: “Pat is pat.”

Beverley was added to the Bulls roster from the buyout market earlier this year and ever since he’s suited up for his hometown team, he’s been a dominant locker-room presence, not to mention, a pesky and scrappy defender. With the Bulls, he averages 5.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per contest.

The guard is known for bringing in ample doses of energy and emotion to every side he played for to date, and that’s proved true again with the Windy City stint.

“You should have just seen him,” DeRozan said. “He just walked on the plane with too much energy and all that with a ball in his hand, stretching, he just finished foam rolling,” DeRozan joked.

All said, one can’t disagree with what Beverley brings to the table day in and day out. He may not be the one dropping 30 points every game, but he’s there hustling and helping his team in every way possible.

The Chicago Bulls Have To Vault Over The Miami Heat To Get To The Playoffs

A thrilling win against the Toronto Raptors saw the Chicago Bulls keep their playoff hopes alive. But their next test comes against a smarting Miami Heat, who failed to grab the seventh seed after losing to the Atlanta Hawks.

Whether it’s the Bulls vs. Heat, DeRozan vs. Lowry, or any other matchup, the high-octane clash promises to be a humdinger, given the stakes. Both teams have played some inconsistent ball throughout the season, and now they have one shot at getting it right.

The Bulls have seen the better of Jimmy Butler & Co in the regular season, beating them in all of their encounters, but it’s a new day and a new challenge, and the Heat will look to tame the Bulls. Only time will tell if the Bulls and Beverley make the postseason.
