DeMar DeRozan has had a fantastic individual season with the Chicago Bulls this season. He has elevated his scoring and has managed to lead the Chicago Bulls to the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. DeMar DeRozan has averaged 28.0 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 5.0 APG this season.

Even though the Chicago Bulls being a playoff team is a good improvement from last season, the Chicago Bulls were at one point an even better team than they were now. During the first half of the season, they were viewed as a contender, but injuries have derailed their season, and they have fallen to the 6th seed.

DeMar DeRozan has recently provided an analogy for the Chicago Bulls’ season, claiming that the first half of the season was like being a freshman/sophomore in high school, with classes being easier, while adding that the second half of the season was more difficult, likening it to being a junior/sophomore who takes AP classes.

It’s kind of like going through high school, you getting all A’s as a freshman and sophomore. Then junior and senior year, you got AP classes, them s*** is extremely hard.

There is no doubt that the Chicago Bulls have had tough luck with injuries this year, which could explain their drastically different halves of the season. Guard Lonzo Ball was recently ruled out for the season, and not having him in the playoffs will definitely hurt the team on both ends of the floor.

With that being said, the Chicago Bulls still have one of the best wing duos in the league in Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. Those two combined give the team a lot of offensive firepower, which will allow them to keep up with a lot of teams on the offensive end of the floor. DeMar DeRozan is currently having the best season of his career, and hopefully, that continues into the postseason.
