Scottie Pippen has been beefing with Michael Jordan since “The Last Dance” documentary came out, and Dennis Rodman has now shared his thoughts on the situation.

“It’s just a lot of things that’s happened over the last couple of years,” Rodman said. “So, I think Scottie’s a little bitter and Michael’s more laid back and say, ‘Okay, like whatever,’ but they’re gonna work it out.”

Rodman also claimed that Pippen and Jordan were on great terms during their final season together with the Chicago Bulls. The 60-year-old stated that the two always hung out and traveled with each other back then.

Things have changed now, of course, and while Rodman obviously knows his former teammates better than any of us on the outside, I don’t see how things are going to work out. There are massive egos involved here, and neither side seems like the kind to back down.

We have seen with Jordan, that he has no issues in completely cutting ties with those whom he was once very close with if he feels they wronged him. There was a time when Charles Barkley was perhaps his closest friend. When Barkley criticized him for how he was running the Charlotte franchise, though, he cut him off.

It has been over a decade since it happened and despite Barkley’s best efforts, things haven’t gotten better. Pippen certainly doesn’t seem the type to go to those lengths to fix the relationship, and he’s said far worse things than Barkley.

Scottie Pippen Called Michael Jordan A “Horrible Player”

The list of shots fired by Pippen at Jordan is quite a long one. Perhaps the first big one was when Pippen called out Jordan for being condescending in “The Last Dance“. He felt the only purpose of the documentary was to show how great Jordan was, and it diminished everything his teammates did.

The most recent one, though, might have been the most damaging one for their relationship, as Pippen called Jordan a horrible player and claimed LeBron James would go down as the greatest statistical player ever.

“LeBron James will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play the game of basketball. There’s no comparison to him… I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls… [Michael Jordan] was a horrible player. He was horrible to play with. He was all 1 on 1, he was shooting bad shots.”

It was a shocker when he said it and it still is hard to believe those words came out of his mouth. Trae Young thought Pippen’s comments on Jordan were AI-generated, as he couldn’t believe it either.

Charles Oakley Says Jordan And Pippen Are Done

While Pippen and Barkley are no longer close to Jordan, his former teammate Charles Oakley certainly is. He might just be the one closest to him, and Oakley says Jordan and Pippen are done.

Unlike Rodman, Oakley claimed the relationship wasn’t great, to begin with, and now it’s all over. He also said that he doesn’t see the two ever being on talking terms with each other. Keep in mind, that Oakley said that before Pippen’s comments on Jordan being a horrible player, so things have only gotten worse since then.

Oakley also explained why Jordan will never be cool with Pippen, Barkley, and Isiah Thomas. It just seems like once you cross that line with Jordan, there is no coming back.
