To call Dennis Rodman a wild card would be something of an understatement. Starting from his time with the San Antonio Spurs and on during his time with the Chicago Bulls, Rodman was as unpredictable off the court as he was dependable on it. But occasionally, he would go off on the court as well, and the one time he did, it cost him pretty big.

In 1997, Dennis Rodman kicked a cameraman during a Chicago Bulls game. The man was named Eugene Amos, and as reported by the Washington Post, it cost Rodman quite a bit: “Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman has agreed to pay $200,000 to the cameraman he kicked during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Associated Press learned tonight.”

“The Bulls were playing the Timberwolves when Rodman stumbled out of bounds over a photographer. Rodman kicked Amos, who was sitting nearby, after Amos turned his camera on him. The game was delayed for seven minutes before Amos was carried off on a stretcher and treated briefly at a local hospital.”

The incident blew up quite a bit back in the day, considering that the Bulls were the greatest team in the NBA by this point. And Rodman ended up having to pay $200,000 out of court just to make it go away. Some fans think Amos overreacted to this day, although only he will know the truth of how badly he was hurt by Rodman.

Dennis Rodman’s Life Was So Wild He Lost His Virginity For $20

Most people in the world will not lead a life half as wild as Dennis Rodman. And long before he was getting involved with the biggest stars and having to give out $200K for things, he was still quite wild. The story of how he lost his virginity is a crazy one

“He talks of the groupies who follow basketball players with a relentless pursuit to share in money and fame. It is the ultimate turnaround for him because girls thought he was skinny and small and ‘funny looking’ when he was a boy. He didn’t lose his virginity until he was 20, when a prostitute in the project ‘did me and my friends for twenty bucks.'”

Dennis Rodman spent quite a bit of money, and he lost quite a bit of it too, but the one thing no one can accuse him of is not keeping it interesting. The good thing is that Rodman was in his prime well before the age of social media, or the drama might have become way too big.
