The NBA has been the center of attention for a while now, with LeBron James passing the all-time scoring record and the trade deadline ending up as one of the most exciting in recent memory. But on the second Sunday of February, most of America’s eyes will be trained away from basketball and squarely on the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is one of the most watched sporting events in the world every season, and it draws in hundreds of millions of viewers. The NFL’s showpiece event will be entertaining this time, with the exciting, young Jalen Hurts taking on Patrick Mahomes and the powerhouse Kansas City Chiefs. But the big game is in Glendale, Arizona, right there next to Phoenix and one NBA star isn’t enjoying the build-up.

Devin Booker tweeted this on Saturday night, and it’s obviously about the throngs of fans flocking to Phoenix for the Super Bowl. Despite the love for the NFL that the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant seem to have, Devin Booker isn’t that excited about this event. And a lot of football fans seem to have taken issue with it, with Booker getting trolled quite a bit for his tweet.

Fans Reacted To Devin Booker’s Tweet Complaining About The Super Bowl

The excitement about the Super Bowl is palpable around the country, and even some NBA fans aren’t on board with Booker dissing the event. After his tweet went viral, many responded by trolling him and suggesting that if he doesn’t like it, then he is free to leave.

“First of all, that’s Kevin Durant’s city now.”

“Someone tell Devin Booker that he’s not him.”

“Yeah I’m sure it hurts you to see trophies being won in your city.”

“Win something before chatting all this, lil bro.”

“It’s a good thing you’ll never have a parade there, huh?”

“Bro mad its a championship game and he not in it.”

“Take it as a challenge to bring the NBA Finals to Phoenix too.”

“Devin Booker thinking he is in any way important is funny to me.”

“Try not to get rinsed by Luka this year pal.”

“Luka Doncic owns Phoenix, I fear.”

“Nah chief, this ain’t it.”

The Super Bowl is big business for the city, so they will benefit in more ways than one. Devin Booker will get his peace after the big game is over. Until then, if he can focus on trying to make things work with Kevin Durant and winning it all, maybe he won’t get trolled the next time he shares an opinion like this.
