Dillon Brooks is a fiery character, he isn’t the most well-liked player in the league for a reason. While Brooks has star potential, he is also thoroughly competitive, and that shows itself when he talks trash to people. That aspect of his personality and the identity of this Memphis Grizzlies team is something they get trolled for often, but it doesn’t seem to bother the guard all that much. He seems to revel in it at times.

There was an opportunity for some beef on Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, with Shannon Sharpe on the sidelines. Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, Ja Morant, and even his father Tee, all got involved in a verbal scuffle with Sharpe who was sitting courtside. If Shannon’s take following the incident is to be believed, the whole thing started as he was jawing with Dillon Brooks. And the Grizzlies star opened up on how he feels about the whole thing as well.

“I ain’t talking about all that. You can ask him about that. He’s the blogger or whatever he is. I don’t really care about all that. Next question.”

Brooks was also asked if it was right for Shannon to get involved in the way that he did, and he didn’t seem to think so.

“A regular pedestrian like him? No, he should never have come back in the game. But this is L.A.”

These are some big shots for Dillon Brooks to take and there is no doubt that Shannon Sharpe will address them on his show Undisputed when the time comes. LeBron James is completely in Shannon’s corner as well, and some think these comments from Brooks are a little overboard.

Ashley Nicole Moss Thinks Part Of Dillon Brooks’ Response To Shannon Sharpe Is ‘Insane’

Many analysts have never played professional sports themselves, so at times players go at them suggesting that they don’t know what they are talking about. But Shannon Sharpe is an NFL legend, one of the greatest tight ends ever, and a Hall Of Famer. So when Brooks called him just a blogger, Ashley Nicole Moss was among those to respond.

“Calling a HOFer ‘a blogger’ is INSANE”

Dillon Brooks is an excellent player, and his potential is even greater than what he has shown so far, but some humility would go a long way for the Grizzlies star. There is no need for any NBA player to conform to anyone else’s expectations, but likability is an aspect of building a high-level career, and it’s something for Brooks to consider.
