The Dallas Mavericks found an incredible player in Luka Doncic. After almost 2 decades with Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks invested in yet another sensational European player in Doncic. Doncic has become one of the best players in the league in the last 4 years, and his stock has risen massively. The Slovenian is one of the most popular players in the league, and even Dirk’s friends want his autographs.

Dirk Nowitzki took to Twitter to talk about his friends’ from Germany buying Mavericks jerseys. As a Mavericks legend, Nowitzki expected his friends to buy his jerseys and want his autograph on their jerseys. But when he offered to sign their jerseys for them, they revealed that they had actually gotten jerseys of Luka Doncic, and asked Dirk Nowitzki if he could help them get Doncic’s autograph on their jerseys.

Germans friends that come visit always buy jerseys. I say: hold on let me get a sharpie and they say: oh no. That’s ok. This is actually Luka’s. Do you mind getting it signed… 🙄

Dirk Nowitzki actually played with Luka Doncic. Doncic’s first season in the NBA was also Nowitzki’s final season in the league. And the season served primarily as a passing of the torch stint between Dirk and Luka. Luka became the face of the franchise after Dirk retired from the league. And since then, Doncic has continued to develop into one of the best players in the NBA and a true leader for the Mavericks.

Luka Doncic will be hoping to replicate what Dirk Nowitzki was able to achieve with the Mavericks. Doncic and the Mavericks will be aiming to win the NBA championship in the future. The Mavericks will have to build a solid team around Luka in order to put him in the position to win the NBA championship.
