Draymond Green has been one of the best performers for the Golden State Warriors during this playoff series. While players like Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole have been garnering the headlines with their offensive performances, Green has been just as important, playing the role of the defensive enforcer. Green has been able to contain Nikola Jokic quite well, and seemingly even took a shot at him after the game.

After the Warriors defeated the Nuggets in Game 3, Draymond Green spoke in the post-game press conference. He noted that players in the NBA may be great performers during the regular season, but they cannot perform at the same level in the playoffs. He gave props to Jordan Poole but then suggested that some players who are elite in the regular season just can’t perform in the playoffs.

“Everybody is not made for the playoffs. I don’t know if y’all can see that. Look around the league, some of the guys aren’t cut out of the playoffs. JP is showing that with his toughness and the mindset he has… Gotta give credit to the guys that show up in the playoffs. It’s just not a normal thing in this league. Some guys that you think are guys are not guys in the playoffs. That’s just what it is.”

Green has been sensational whenever he has guarded Nikola Jokic. Jokic is one of the best offensive players in the NBA. But Green has been able to contain Jokic quite well, making the reigning MVP look like an average player against him.

Green hasn’t ever been shy of saying how feels about other players. So it could just be Green making reference to some of the many players that are in the NBA right now and have not had a good run in the playoffs so far.
