Warriors star Draymond Green is probably one of the biggest trash talkers in the league today. As a defensive pest and tone-setter for his team, Dray is always saying and doing things to get under the opponent’s skin.

When it comes to his actually on-court production, however, not everyone is happy with what they’ve been seeing.

Ahead of the game against the Knicks on Tuesday, TNT’s Charles Barkley called him out on national tv for not being aggressive enough on offense. Draymond, being the unapologetic talker that he is, was quick to expose Barkley for the take.

Barkley: “You’re developing a really bad habit of not looking at the basket, do you think you’re gonna have to change your mindset? I know you’re trying to get everybody involved but we watched you last week. There was probably about 10-15 times that you didn’t even look at the basket. Are you gonna have to be more aggressive offensively during this stretch?”

Green: “Definitely, most definitely Chuck. And if you actually spend some time watching the games, you saw the last game I came out and started 3-3 from three. I shot 15 shots lats game. So, I’m gonna need you to pay a little more attention big dawg.”

Can Draymond Green Keep The Warriors Afloat Without Steph Curry?

The Warriors haven’t been playing their best basketball this season, and now they have to play without their main star and leading scorer for at least a few more weeks.

Draymond has seemingly upped his shots, but that might not be enough to keep the season alive for Golden State.

“I don’t think they can [stay relevant] to be quite honest with you,” said Stephen A. Smith on the Warriors without Steph. “When we’ve seen what we’ve seen so far this season, Steph Curry is head and shoulders the star of this team and his level of play far exceeds that of any of his teammates. He’s averaging 29.6 points on 43% shooting from three-point range this season he’s been an absolute superstar and everybody else has paled in comparison… I would say the focus would shift to Klay Thompson and what he’s capable of doing and, to a lesser degree, Jordan Poole and what he’s capable of doing. That’s the only thing that has a prayer of offsetting the absence of Steph Curry and I don’t even think that’s gonna be good enough.”

Dray is quick to defend himself against his critics, but he’ll be facing an unprecedented level of hate if the Warriors don’t make a deep playoff run this year.

Green doesn’t seem worried right now, but the situation grows direr with every loss.
