Draymond Green On His Half-Court Missed 3-Pointer: “The Smartest Dumb Play In History… Very Smart Play That Ended Up Being Dumb As Hell.”

2 Min Read

Draymond Green starred in a very curious situation at the end of the San Antonio Spurs-Golden State Warriors on Monday night. The game was really close and they had to fight until the end to get the victory but Green missed a big chance when he received the inbound pass at half court, with 8.7 seconds on the clock. The DPOY award winner didn’t think twice and shot the ball from the logo and as you can imagine, he missed.

The Spurs ended up winning the game, 105-100, with Draymond receiving a lot of jokes and criticism for his blunder. He had the chance to do something more but he went for the big play and that didn’t benefit his team.

After the game was over, Draymond reflected on the play, taking a shot at himself for making the “smartest dumb play in history.” The Warriors lost their fourth consecutive game and Green missed a big chance to end that streak but things didn’t play in his favor.

The Warriors are now 9th in the Western Conference, behind the Denver Nuggets. The season started really well for them but things have been different in recent days. They need to change that before it’s too late. Stephen Curry is doing a good job leading this team but that is not enough.

He has claimed that “losing sucks” and is trying to get more action, especially down the stretch. This game was winnable and they let it slip.
