Klay Thompson is getting ready to return to the NBA, shooting corner 3-pointers like they’re candy and demonstrating he will be the old shooter he was before picking a serious injury two years ago. Thompson wants to pick things right where he left them and he will find that inspiration as soon as he steps on the court next season.

The last time he played in the NBA, he was just going off on the Toronto Raptors and people believe that if it wasn’t for his injury, the Golden State Warriors would have forced Game 7 in the 2019 NBA Finals. Draymond Green recently talked about Klay’s mentality before that game and what he felt was about to happen before the match started.

Joining the ‘Dubs Talk’ podcast, Green revealed that the Splash Brother was feeling himself even before the showdown, predicting that he was going to rip the Raptors.

“He was like, ‘Dray, I’m about to have one of those games. I’m telling you now, I’m about to have one of those games,'” Green said, via NBC Sports.

“I’m just like what? He’s like, ‘No, I’m about to destroy them. I’m telling you, just give me the ball, I’m about to have one of those games.’ Sure enough, he had one of those games.”

Before going down with an injury, Thompson was having a terrific game, scoring 30 points with five rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes of action. The night changed for him and the Warriors when he tore his ACL in his left knee, leaving the team helpless against the dangerous Raptors, who took their chance to beat the then-defending NBA champions.
