The Met Gala 2022 saw a number of influential celebrities make their appearance in it. Kim Kardashian was one of them and wore a beautiful dress, which was once used by Marilyn Monroe.

Kim K looked absolutely terrific in the dress but still ended up getting a lot of backlash from fans after the Met Gala 2022. The reason was that Kim revealed that she had to practically starve herself for three weeks in order to lose 16 lbs and fit in the dress.

While it was her personal choice to use this extreme measure in order to look gorgeous in that dress, it didn’t sit well with fans. Most believed that she is influencing kids in the wrong way in order to meet the standards to be suited fit for a dress.

The NBA and Golden State Warriors superstar evidently saw these hateful comments and went on an epic Twitter rant to defend Kim K and simultaneously destroy her haters.

“We live in an rather interesting world to say the least. I saw people mad at Kim K over the last couple of days of a diet she was supposedly on. People really think they have the right to get mad at the food someone does/doesn’t eat?”

He also talked about the idea of parents raising their children according to what a celebrity does/doesn’t. Green tweeted:

“Y’all have y’all own idea of what celebrities/fame entails. And those ideas range far left and far right. But what I am certain it doesn’t entail is raising someone else’s children for them. If you are mad at something a celebrity does because of how it may affect your child…”

It is understandable why people might have seen the need to call out Kim K. After all, she is one of the most influential celebrities out there and heavily influences the younger generation.

Despite that, as the Warriors superstar pointed out, it was a rash decision by the parents completely lay the burden on Kim’s shoulders. At the end of the day, both sides’ viewpoint is understandable and it is very hard to pick a favorite between the two.
