Duncan Robinson recently made a surprising appearance on NBA Reddit to talk about his upcoming NBA podcast, while also getting to talk with fans, who made him a lot of interesting questions. It went from his favorite memories in college, his favorite places to eat and more.
Robinson showed how cool he is answering all these questions but there was one that stood out the most among all the questions he received. Somebody asked him about his experience going from undrafted to becoming one of the best shooters in the NBA this season. Robinson has really improved his level and the results are incredible and he revealed that he studied a lot of great shooters. Also, the Miami Heat helped him blossomed into the player he is right now.
Q: What do you feel has been the biggest things you’ve learned that have turned you from good college player/great shooter to good NBA player/best shooter on the planet? I know you have talked about how you learned to really believe in yourself, but was their anything about shooting you didn’t quite know that the Heat ingrained in you?
A: Talking my ability to shoot off the move to the next level. The Heat organization had a vision for me to try to develop me into the Redick, Korver, Thompson, Ellington mold. Player’s who can move and fly off of screens to get shots. Something I wasn’t really asked to do in college. My first year back and forth from the G League really helped with that.
The shooting guard developed his game season after season and even though he went undrafted in 2018, Robinson kept trying until he reached his goal. He’s had impressive performances in the association and recently became the first player to make 300 three-pointers in under 100 games.

Now he’s one of the best shooters in the world and he can only get better. He’s one of the most important players on the Heat and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.
